Mycenae

The Acropolis of Mycenae is a prehistoric citadel located in the southwestern Peloponnese, on top of a rocky hill 130 meters high, known as the "Acropolis," which rises steeply above the surrounding plains and coastal flatlands. The acropolis was built in all periods from the second half of the third millennium until around 1250 BC and remained inhabited until approximately 1100 BC, when it was likely destroyed by fire.
